It has finally started to get a bit colder outside, temperature is around 0 Celsius and it's partly snowing and partly raining. So the streets are pretty much getting filled with sleet and it really makes one want to stay inside. Hopefully we'll have a white Christmas...
I've been reading rumors about the upcoming Nintendo Wii launch here in Finland. It is said that Wii has been so pre-ordered that the first arriving shipment and even the second one have been sold out already. Unless you have have pre-ordered your Wii you won't be getting it before February 2007 :<>>
It is Independence Day here in Finland and people are celebrating it as they see best. Personally I've been just cleaning my apartment, doing the dishes, chancing the sheets and so on. I do value this day and all the great people who have made it possible but don't really feel like doing anything special. Most people take it as a day off and spend it with their families eating well and watching the Independence Day ceremony from TV. Since I don't own a TV I won't be watching the ceremony. Anyways I can just read tomorrows paper and find out who had the most astonishing dress and who did this and who did that. Nowadays it feels like the ceremony has become more and more an event to show off and lost it's original meaning...
Next weekend I'm going to visit my little brother and he's girlfriend with my girlfriend. We'll go there by train and probably spend two nights hanging out and perhaps doing little partying... ;>
Next I have to call my mom to tell her my one Christmas present wish that I have forgotten and to tell her that we'll be celebrating New Year's Eve in Ylläs...

Still no snow... :<
Another new week and the beginning of December. It has been strangely warm here lately. For the past two weeks the temperature has stayed above 0 Celsius pretty much constantly. It's not snowing like it's supposed to, instead it's just raining all the freaking time!
Luckily my ex-roommate has pre-ordered the new Nintendo Wii and he should have it by the 8th of December :> Perhaps that will get my thoughts off the sucky weather...

Intense living
I had pretty damn sweet weekend... :>
DAY 1
It all started last Thursday after I had taken my chemistry exam. I was supposed to head straight back home, but all of a sudden I decided to visit my old friend for whom I promised to set up a WLAN. Originally I was supposed to take care of that the following day, but since I already was nearby I felt like doing straight away. So I set it up and everything went swimmingly and we decided to start our weekend and call a couple of friends to come with us and shoot some pool at the nearby bar ;> We played a good 3h of pool and boy did we get shit faced from all the beer we had while playing. Me and my friend (for whom I set up the WLAN) had had nearly nothing to eat the whole day and the strong beer really got us good. I was really a bit surprised how wasted I got in such a short time. Anyways a played pretty damn well to say the least and only lost twice (because of my own stupid mistakes). Maybe the beer made my hands steady and my mind calm for the pool...
DAY 2
So I headed over to my girlfriends who also happened to live nearby and I bet I pissed her roommate pretty good 'cos I kept running in the WC all night long letting all the excess liquids out of my system and refilling in the kitchen :> At the morning I woke up for a bright new day just mildly hung over from last nights heavy drinking. We had a little breakfast and headed back to my friends and stopped at the grocery store on the way over. Of course I had to shop for some more booze 'cos originally we were planning to have a little party at Friday. We had a nice little party and around 06:00PM the girls went to their own university party and we decided with the guys to play some Texas Hold'em and go to the same party as the girls little later. It all went pretty smoothly and after the girls party we went to the same place where we were the night before and this time I played little darts with my other friend and kicked he's ass pretty damn sweetly.
DAY 3
Once again I wake at my girlfriends and we have I little breakfast. I had promised to my other friend and he's girlfriend that we would visit them and have lunch with them. I promised to bring the wine... So we had very nice evening, ate well and drank even better and at the end I felt like ending up not so sober after all for the third night in the row :> It was probably all the wine (red and white), whiskey and beer that had me easygoing once again. We headed back to town late at night and decided to have some snack before going to bed. So we ordered a big kebab with hot sauce and tons of garlic headed for my place and had a nice little snack before going to bed.
DAY 4 (present day)
Whoa, I seriously thought it was already over but no. After my girlfriend left back home to study for some exams I felt like I had nothing to do, so I called my buddy over and we watched some good movies whole day and ate all kinds of garbage like chips and dip, sausages and soda. I think it was pretty nice way of recovering from the previous days (and nights)...
